School Culture & Rationale
The Type of Education we offer at Caversham Park Primary School:
We are a single form entry school in the heart of our local community, where all of our children and their families are welcomed, valued and cared for.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly school, where children are nurtured in a safe, calm environment and their individual needs are met.
We have high expectations of behaviour at Caversham Park Primary School and expect all children to demonstrate their respect for one another through good manners, leading by example and by taking responsibility for their own actions. We put a strong emphasis on the importance of all children and all staff living out our school learning behaviours through their everyday actions.
One of our main priorities is to develop the emotional well-being of our children, so that they can be happy, confident and successful learners. We encourage children to make positive relationships with their peers.
Our school learning behaviours are at the heart of teaching and learning at Caversham Park Primary School. We firmly believe that all children can contribute and achieve, regardless of ability, and we do this through a “growth mindset” culture of aiming high, perseverance and self-belief. We aim to provide an ambitious and exciting learning community. We provide our children with experiences that develop resilience, confidence and tolerance.
We believe in the development of the whole child. We have high expectations for all our children to ensure that they achieve their full potential. This is achieved through our inclusive curriculum that encourages all children to enjoy learning, be creative and achieve. We believe that all children should be given the chance to share and develop further their talents and skills; both academic and creative.
Our vision is to ensure that all children experience a broad and balanced curriculum delivered by teachers who love teaching and who continually strive to ensure that all children develop a love of learning.
We have high expectations of teaching and learning in our school and we aim to ensure that all children make good or better progress across all areas of the curriculum. We are continually working at closing the gaps in attainment between different groups of children. We endeavour to ensure that all children are well-equipped for the next stage of the education, learning and development.
