At Caversham Park Primary School, Science encourages children to be curious about the world around them, ask questions and discover how things work. Through an engaging, hands-on curriculum, children develop their scientific knowledge and understanding of topics including plants, animals, materials, forces, electricity and the natural world. They learn to investigate, observe, predict, test ideas and draw conclusions, developing important skills in scientific enquiry and critical thinking.

We encourage children to explore, experiment and learn from their discoveries, making connections between their learning and everyday life. Our aim is to inspire enthusiastic young scientists who are confident in asking questions, eager to investigate and excited to understand more about the world in which we live.
