At Caversham Park Primary School, we believe that Art and Design gives children the opportunity to express themselves creatively, explore their ideas and develop confidence in their own abilities. Through a rich and varied curriculum, children learn to draw, paint, print, sculpt and work with a range of materials and techniques. They explore the work of a variety of artists, designers and craftspeople, developing their knowledge, skills and appreciation of art from different times and cultures.

We encourage children to experiment, take creative risks and learn from their experiences, while celebrating individuality and sharing ideas with others. Our aim is for every child to develop a lifelong love of art, take pride in their creations and feel confident expressing themselves through their work.
