PSHE encompasses personal, social, health and economic education. It enables children to become healthy, independent, well-informed and responsible members of society. We encourage our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to the life of our school and our wider community whilst developing their sense of self-worth.
In order to achieve this here at Caversham Park Primary School, we have developed a bespoke curriculum that centres around the specific needs of our school community. Throughout our curriculum we promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of our children.
Our Personal, Social, Health & Economics Education (P.S.H.E) Subject Leader and Relationship, Sex & Health Education (RSHE) Lead is Mrs. Hawkins.
Statutory Relationships Education and Health Education came into effect at key stage 1 and 2 from September 2020, This statutory content — sometimes referred to as ‘RSHE’ — makes up the majority of schools’ PSHE education.
From Summer 2021 Relationships and Health Education is to become a statutory subject and to be taught in all primary schools.
